Marc Casadó couldn’t hide his joy after receiving his first senior team call-up, marking a milestone in his budding career. The young talent from Sant Pere de Vilamajor has earned this recognition through his stellar performances under Flick’s management this season.
Speaking to a Spanish television news program, Casadó reflected on his journey so far and his first experiences with Luis de la Fuente’s squad.
“Until you see it, you don’t believe it. I watched the announcement video, skipped to the end to see the names, and felt an incredible happiness when I saw mine. This is a reward for all the hard work I’ve put in so far. Now, it’s about making the most of this opportunity and enjoying every moment,” he said.
Casadó also shared his admiration for Sergio Busquets, who has been a key influence on his development. “Busquets is the player I’ve studied the most. I believe he’s the greatest in history in that position. If I can achieve even half of what he has, I’ll consider myself fortunate,” he added.
The midfielder emphasized his commitment to earning his place at Barcelona and contributing to the team’s success. “Midfielders like me enjoy orchestrating the game and setting up goals, which is incredibly satisfying. It was a dream come true to stay with Barça. Flick liked what he saw in me and wanted me in the squad, but I knew I had to prove myself to secure my spot.”
Casadó praised Flick’s impact on the team’s morale and performance. “Flick’s ideas have been embraced in the locker room, and we trust him completely. The results speak for themselves, and that belief drives us forward as a team,” he concluded.
