On December 14, 2024, South Carolina Gamecocks head coach Shane Beamer announced the commitment of four-star offensive tackle Shedrick Sarratt Jr. from Gaffney High School to the 2025 recruiting class. Sarratt, standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 300 pounds, is ranked No. 408 nationally and No. 30 among offensive tackles, making him a significant addition to the Gamecocks’ offensive line.

Sarratt’s commitment is part of a broader effort by Coach Beamer to strengthen the Gamecocks’ roster with top-tier talent. The 2025 class includes 25 signees, featuring 11 players from South Carolina, six from Georgia, and others from North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. The class is currently ranked 21st nationally, according to 247Sports, and comprises seven four-star recruits and 18 three-star recruits.

Notable commitments in this class include:

– **Malik Clark**, a four-star wide receiver from Rock Hill, South Carolina, ranked No. 125 nationally and No. 2 in the state.

– **Zavion Hardy**, the top junior college defensive lineman nationally, who earned first-team all-conference honors at East Mississippi Community College.

– **Mike Tyler**, a three-star tight end from Columbia, South Carolina, who flipped his commitment from LSU to the Gamecocks on signing day.

– **Jordon Gidron**, a four-star wide receiver from Columbia, South Carolina, ranked No. 193 nationally and No. 23 at his position.

– **Jayden Sellers**, a three-star wide receiver from Florence, South Carolina, and brother of Gamecocks quarterback LaNorris Sellers.

– **Damola Ajidahun**, a four-star offensive tackle from Duluth, Georgia, ranked No. 201 nationally and No. 23 at his position.

– **Max Kelley**, a three-star kicker from Gallatin, Tennessee, who connected on nine of 12 field goals and 33 out of 38 extra points in his junior season.

– **Mike Tyler**, a tight end from Hammond High School in Columbia, South Carolina, who was a key part of the 2024 SCISA 4A championship-winning Hammond team.

– **Josh Smith**, a linebacker from Dutch Fork High School in Irmo, South Carolina, who helped the Silver Foxes win the 2023 5A championship and is a big part of why the team is back in the championship game this year.

– **LaNorris Sellers’ brother Jayden Sellers**, a receiver from South Florence High School, who helped South Florence win a 2022 state title and will be a 2024 Shrine Bowl participant.

– **Dutch Fork’s Josh Smith**, the lone Lexington County native currently signed to the Gamecocks, who helped the Silver Foxes win the 2023 5A championship and is a big part of why the team is back in the championship game this year.

This diverse and talented group reflects Coach Beamer’s commitment to building a competitive and dynamic team for the upcoming seasons.
