## Azzi Fudd Skips 2025 WNBA Draft, Returns to UConn with Championship Aspirations

In a move that sent waves through the college basketball world, UConn star guard Azzi Fudd has decided to forgo the 2025 WNBA Draft and return to Storrs for her final collegiate season. With one more shot at securing an NCAA championship, Fudd is determined to leave a lasting legacy at UConn.

Fudd, who has battled injuries during her time with the Huskies, remains one of the most talented players in the nation. When healthy, her shooting ability and scoring prowess make her one of the most lethal guards in the country. Despite the opportunity to take her talents to the WNBA, she has chosen to stay and help lead UConn back to championship glory.

“This decision wasn’t easy,” Fudd said in her announcement. “Playing in the WNBA has always been a dream of mine, but I feel like my time at UConn isn’t over yet. We have unfinished business, and I want to do everything I can to bring another championship home.”

Her return is a massive boost for Geno Auriemma’s squad, which is looking to bounce back after a disappointing 2024 season that saw them miss the Final Four for the first time since 2007. With key players like Paige Bueckers, Ice Brady, and top-ranked recruit Allie Ziebell joining her, UConn will enter the 2024-25 season as one of the favorites to win it all.

Fudd’s decision also impacts the WNBA landscape. Many scouts considered her a top prospect despite her injury history, with teams eager to add her elite shooting and high basketball IQ. However, by staying an extra year, she has the chance to further develop her game, refine her skills, and enter the 2026 draft in peak form.

For now, Fudd’s sole focus is on UConn’s championship pursuit. With her leadership, experience, and relentless drive, she aims to help the Huskies return to the top of women’s college basketball. If all goes according to plan, she could finish her collegiate career as a champion before taking her talents to the professional stage.
