On January 22, 2025, Ohio State football standouts Will Howard and Jack Sawyer traded their helmets for headsets at a Raising Cane’s location on Olentangy River Road, just north of the Ohio State campus. Fresh off their national championship victory over Notre Dame, the duo engaged with fans by bagging orders, serving customers, buttering toast, and signing autographs. Despite sub-zero temperatures, dozens of fans lined up to meet the players, who signed memorabilia including miniature footballs, t-shirts, and hats. The event also featured appearances by Ohio State mascot Brutus and star linebacker J.T. Tuimoloau. This celebration was part of a series of events marking the Buckeyes’ ninth NCAA football championship.
