LSU has secured a commitment from four-star defensive lineman JaReylan McCoy for their 2026 recruiting class. McCoy, standing at 6’7″ and weighing 245 pounds, hails from Tupelo, Mississippi. He announced his decision during the Under Armour All-America Game, choosing LSU over Tennessee, USC, and Alabama.
McCoy is ranked as the No. 8 defensive lineman nationally and is the sixth member of LSU’s 2026 class, which is currently ranked in the Top-5 nationally and No. 2 in the Southeastern Conference. He joins fellow defensive lineman Richard Anderson, safety Aiden Hall, wide receiver Kenny Darby, safety Jakai Anderson, and offensive lineman Jalan Chapman in the class.
McCoy’s commitment strengthens LSU’s defensive line prospects for the future, as he brings significant size and potential to the Tigers’ roster.
