Maxwell Riley, a four-star offensive tackle from Ohio, has re-committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes. This major key player and in-state target had initially narrowed down his choices to Ohio State and Clemson, but ultimately decided to stay home and play for the Buckeyes.¹

Riley, who stands at 6-foot-5 and weighs 280 pounds, is considered the No. 114 recruit in the country, the No. 9 offensive tackle, and the No. 4 player in the state of Ohio, according to 247Sports composite rankings.² He is the fifth commitment in the 2026 class, joining an impressive group of recruits, including five-star wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. and four-star tight end Corbyn Fordham.

As a standout player at Avon Lake High School, Riley has been a frequent visitor to Ohio State and has developed a strong relationship with the coaching staff. His commitment is a significant boost to the Buckeyes’ recruiting class, and he is expected to make an immediate impact on the team.

Riley’s decision to re-commit to Ohio State is a testament to the program’s ability to attract and retain top talent. With his commitment, the Buckeyes have solidified their position as one of the top recruiting classes in the country.
