Jackson Cantwell, the nation’s top-ranked recruit in the 2026 class, has scheduled an official visit to the University of Michigan. Standing at 6-foot-8 and weighing 300 pounds, the five-star offensive tackle from Nixa, Missouri, is set to visit Ann Arbor on June 13, 2025. citeturn0search4

Cantwell has narrowed his list of potential colleges to six: Georgia, Miami (Florida), Michigan, Missouri, Ohio State, and Oregon. He plans to take official visits to each of these programs before making his final decision. Cantwell aims to announce his commitment before the start of his senior year, with a ceremony at Nixa High School in August. citeturn0search5

In discussing his interest in Michigan, Cantwell highlighted the Wolverines’ consistent success in developing offensive linemen. He noted that Michigan has produced numerous NFL Draft picks from its offensive line, with six linemen drafted last year alone. Cantwell also praised the coaching staff, including head coach Jim Harbaugh and offensive line coach Grant Newsome, for their roles in fostering talent. citeturn0search5

Beyond football, Cantwell appreciates the academic opportunities at Michigan and the vibrant community in Ann Arbor. He believes the university offers a well-rounded environment conducive to both athletic and personal growth. citeturn0search5

Cantwell’s recruitment is highly competitive, with top programs nationwide vying for his commitment. His upcoming visits will be crucial in determining which university aligns best with his athletic aspirations and personal goals. As the decision date approaches, the college football community eagerly awaits his choice.
